“Wants and Needs” featured Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featured Rick Ross. Along with the EP’s premiere, Drake premiered the “What’s Next” music video, directed by Theo Scudra, who has already worked on such rapper videos as “Toosie Slide”, “Money In The Grave” and “Nonstop”.
The first part of “Scary Hours” was released in January 2018: it included two tracks, “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity.” “God’s Plan” was the lead single from the album “Scorpion” and proved to be one of the most successful songs of Drake’s career. So we can expect at least one of the tracks to appear on the rapper’s upcoming sixth album, “Certified Lover Boy.”
The release of “Certified Lover Boy” was planned for January, but due to Drake undergoing emergency knee surgery, the album’s release had to be postponed. The only official single from the record so far is “Laugh Now, Cry Later” recorded with Lil Durk.
Exact release date of “Certified Lover Boy” album is still unknown, but popular YouTube-blogger and radio host DJ Akademiks said that it will be done by April. In addition, the other day the blogger found out that Drake is filming a new video – but he didn’t say exactly to which song. According to DJ Akademiks, the rapper told him that he was working on several videos.
Despite the fact that it’s been almost three years since the release of “Scorpion,” Drake hasn’t gone anywhere: in 2019 he released a compilation of unreleased tracks “Care Package” and in 2020 he released a mixtape “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” and two joint singles with DJ Khaled, “Greece” and “Popstar.”
