The Weeknd revealed on the 15th episode of his Memento Mori radio show on Spotify that he is almost finished with his forthcoming record Dawn and is only making final edits. The musician also named the tracks that inspired him in the process of creating new music and included them.

The playlist includes 27 songs. Four of them are by the musician himself. They are Take My Breath, released August 6, A Lonely Night (2016), Tell Your Friends (2015) and Wanderlast (2013). The list also includes two Britney Spears songs (Toxic and Everytime) as well as compositions by Nas (Star Wars and Theif’s Theme), Kanye West (Drunk and Hot Girls), Daft Punk (Robot Rock), Kid Cady (Day ‘n’ Nite), Prince (In Love) and Tyler, the Creator (Massa from Call Me If You Get Lost, released June 25).
